'CORN KERNELS' - RECONSTRUCTION OF ANNI ALBERS
'CORN KERNELS' - RECONSTRUCTION OF ANNI ALBERS
“We touch things to assure ourselves of reality. We touch the objects of our love. We touch the things we form. Our tactile experiences are elemental." Anni Albers - On Weaving, 1965.
Anni Albers created studies using ordinary materials such as corn, grass, and twisted paper in order to help her students explore the tactile nature of materials and textiles before ever sitting down at a loom. This study made with corn kernels is a reproduction of another that Albers created and published her book, On Weaving, in 1965.
This is a high quality printed photograph of a study originally created by Anni Albers but in this photograph recreated in colour by Mary Emma Harris. Limited to only 5 being produced. Every penny spent goes directly to Tambacounda Hospital Maternity & Paediatric Unit, which includes free delivery anywhere in the UK, or affordable courier delivery worldwide,
